Similar beard balms that advertise as all natural sometimes have listed ingredients disguised as all natural, such as cetyl alcohol and glycerin. Cetyl alcohol can be naturally derived from plant oils, but can also be produced in a lab. Glycerin is the same way. These ingredients are advertised as being used to form a protective layer on the skin to prevent moisture loss. However, these ingredients are only effective in that manner if used in a climate of less than 65% humidity. Furthermore, they create build up on the skin after repetitive use and can cause the skin to become dry and flakey because they are stopping the skin from naturally producing that protective layer of moisture. The jojoba butter in our beard balm is designed to be absorbed deep into the skin for maximum moisture. Moirnga butter has benefits such as reducing puffiness, enlarged pores, blackheads, and blemishes.
